The Xth Meeting of the Italian GRASS and GFOSS users will be held in Cagliari, February 25-27, 2009.
For the last 10 years, this meeting has been the major opportunity for the Italian community of free geographic information software users to meet and have a debate on the future developments of the field.
The Xth Meeting will present the new trends in the following fields:
- Development and personalization of free GIS software
- Free Geographic Data
- GFOSS applications for the civil service
- Promotion of training, divulgation, and awareness in the field of free software
- Interoperability and standards
- geographic information for widespread use: web 2.0, GPS, LBS, etc
- Environment and territory
- Remote sensing
- Geostatistics applications
